Our History

The LDBA has been involved in many activities since its launch in 2011 and we continue our aim to increase footfall and income into Loddon and the surrounding district.

  • Introduce the new Loddon Street Fayre and Loddon’s Got Talent

  • Working with local businesses members campaigning for the much needed ‘dredging’ of the river Chet to prevent flooding and keep this community’s river ‘highway’ open and the installation of additional electric charging points at Loddon Staithe

  • Funding and installing tourist maps at key locations throughout the area and working to improve the signage in the area

  • Working with the parish councils and the farmers market, as well as local organisations in the staging of local events and initiatives to increase the tourist footfall and growth of this area.

  • Created a new tourist information booklet

  • Replaced the Loddon and Chedgrave tourist map signs in the car parks with up-to-date editions with local businesses

  • Reintroduced the Scarecrow festival

  • Run local networking events
